What is it? Head Start is a federally funded education program for children from the ages of 3 to 5. The program helps prepare children for school. What do I get? Educational activities and care that prepare your children for school. Childcare is available from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. Depending on the Head Start provider's location, your child may also be screened for nutritional benefits, receive regular health exams and in some cases, after care may be provided. How long do I get it? The program follows the same calendar as public schools from September to June. |
