What is it? Link-Up and LifeLine are programs established by the Tennessee Regulatory Authority (TRA) to assist low income households get low-cost telephone service. What do I get? Link-Up will pay for part of the installation cost of new telephone service. You will not be charged a deposit if you request 'local service only.' LifeLine provides a discount of up to $13.50 per month for telephone service. This does not cover long distance or features such as caller ID or call waiting. How Long Do I Get It? You can get LifeLine as long as you continue to qualify, but must recertify each year. |
