Do you need health insurance?

What is it?
The Primary Adult Care Program provides health services to people age 19 and over.

What do I get?
Health services including:
  • free visits to a family doctor
  • free outpatient visits to a counselor or psychiatrist for mental health services
  • free or low-cost prescription drugs
How long do I get it?
You can get PAC as long as you still qualify but you will need to re-apply every year. You will get a letter in the mail when it is time to re-apply.
Look Out
Maryland Primary Adult Care is designed specifically for single adults and childless couples. Children and other family members are not counted towards household size – only you and your spouse, for a maximum household size of two. Families with children are encouraged to seek assistance through the Medical Assistance program.
