What is it? Early Head Start is a program that promotes healthy pregnancies and early education for infants and children between ages six weeks and three years. What do I get? Children from birth to age 3 can receive educational childcare similar to Head Start. Pregnant women may receive screenings for programs like WIC or Healthy Start and a variety of health services. How long do I get it? Early Head Start runs year long. Working parents may receive childcare from as early as 6:30 am until 5:30 pm. Parents who are not working may receive childcare from 8 am until 2 pm. |
